Here is one page of the calendar that was designed for the Appanoose County Historical Society in Centerville, Iowa. These calendars are extremely popular, and once the year is over, they are kept for their content. This type of customized calendar is almost like a history book for the county! This particular model includes 12 unique historic photos (13 if you include a different photo for the cover), up to 365 items of text to be placed inside the calendar dates (in this case they are historic facts that are all from Appanoose County), and 4 sponsorship spots per month.
How much money can we expect to make?
That is up to you to decide! You set the price. If you sell 1,000 calendars at $10 each, you can make $10,000. If you sell 5,000 calendars for $8 each, you can make $40,000!
Sounds Good! But what about the expenses?
Sponsorship is a wonderful thing! You may sell as many as four sponsorships for each month on your calendar, a total of 48 spots. Depending on how much you charge for a sponsorship, you can cover all or most of the cost of design and printing! If you sell 48 sponsorship spots for $100 each, you will have $4,800 to spend on production of your calendars!
